G-Wall is a sophisticated live wallpaper application designed for extensibility, allowing integration with multiple data sources. Initially, it comes pre-configured with two primary data sources:

• Pre-Canned Photos/Pictures:

  Every day, the application randomly selects a new photo to serve as the wallpaper. Additionally, the daily Hukumnama from Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar is delivered to the device. Users can access this hukumnama by performing a two-finger touch on the home screen in an empty area. A pinch zoom gesture launches the "Gurbani Searcher," enabling users to view detailed meanings and translations. For optimal performance, it is recommended that users install Gurbani Searcher version greater than 9.9.0. To dismiss the hukumnama, a two-finger touch while it is displayed will remove it from the screen.

• Photos from Gallery:

  This feature allows users to select a new wallpaper from their personal collection stored on their device. Users have the option to define a specific set of photos for selection through the application settings. Like the pre-canned source, this data source also delivers the daily hukumnama from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. Users can interact with their wallpaper using two-finger touch and pinch zoom gestures.

Furthermore, G-Wall offers the possibility for additional data sources to be configured. Third-party developers can create their sources by complying with the forthcoming published API. Future updates may introduce features such as a "thought of the day," expanding beyond Gurbani.

The application provides extensive customization options for wallpaper appearance. Users can choose to blur, dim, or grey out their wallpaper to minimize distractions on their main screen. Notifications for new wallpapers can be enabled, and users can also configure blur effects on their lock screen.
